For the longest time; as long as I can remember till date, my very favourite word in the Bible is‘whosoever.’ In the NIV (New International Version) and modern language - ‘whoever,’ ‘anyone,’ ‘ he who,’ ‘he that.’
I love, love that word!
Whosoever doesn’t discriminate - doesn’t know if you’re black, white, brown, blue, green or red. Whosoever doesn’t know your name, it’s a blank cheque and It just simply means ‘whosoever.’ Whosoever does a thing would either reap a reward or face the consequence of doing that thing.
Whosoever appears between 180-183 times in the Bible; 93 times in the New Testament (King James, so says Google).
Whosoever has to do with cause and effect; you do this, you get this. You do that, you get that. Whosoever is conditional.
One that’s coming right straight in my heart now - ‘Whosoever looks unto the perfect law of liberty and continues therein, him being not a forgetful bearer but a doer of the Word, will be blessed in all his deeds.’ James 1: 25.
How about - ‘For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, ‘Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea,’ and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he saith.’ Mark 11:23
“And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.”
Joel 2:32 KJV
How can I forget - “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 KJV
“Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the Lord.” Proverbs 18:22
“Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.” John 3:18 (NIV).
And whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come. Matthew 12:32 (English Standard Version).
And going back to the beginning, using the law of first mention
“And the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him.”
Genesis 4:15 KJV
And “Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.”
2 Corinthians 9:6 NIV
And lastly, the last whosoever in the Bible (Authorised KJV) "And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely." Revelation 22:17
Whosoever is an invitation to all and in the Bible, this word tells us of that which is available and it is not reserved to a 'few,' 'special' people - but available to all anyone willing to do what it takes to get that thing.
This year 2026, the whosoever I want to be the known for is this - ‘Whosoever looks unto the perfect law of liberty and continues therein, him being not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the Word, will be blessed in all his deeds.’ James 1: 25.

Powerful!!!. Your perfect word " whosoever" is very close to mine which is " choice". Though not always said or written verbatim but most times inferred in the scriptures. Joshua 24: 15, Gen. 6:3, Deuteronomy 30:15-20, Rev. 3:20, Heb.3:15, Psalm 95:7-8, Daniel 1:8. "Choices" are predominantly the prerogative of individuals with the consequences. These consequences are either good or bad. They are not caused by anyone but self inflicted. So the cause and effect of decisions are basically on our everyday choices we make.
I am not sure if I have any favorite word in the bible but taking my time to think through the question, I think "eternal life" distilled to "LIFE" is an important Biblical word to me because I have gained a lot of revelation of the concept of eternal life(Life) lately. Eternal-life is different from living in eternity. It is the Zoe - the God-kind of life that was resident in the first man and woman when they were created, which they lost after the fall and became dead. That is the life God restored to us in Christ when we make Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, which is what John 3:16 is all about. Living in eternity is…
